Construction General Foreman

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Construction General Foreman to oversee and coordinate daily site operations for building and civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.

This role requires strong leadership skills, practical construction knowledge, and the ability to manage workers, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and other site resources to ensure projects are completed safely and according to schedule.




Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities, including rebar works, formwork, concreting, lifting operations, and general site works.
• Plan and allocate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to meet project requirements and schedules.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, method statements, and work instructions.
• Ensure all construction activities are carried out in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and WSH requirements.
• Monitor site progress, productivity, workmanship, and material usage.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure defects, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance issues are promptly rectified.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, consultants, subcontractors, and workers to resolve site and operational issues.
• Prepare daily progress reports and report any site delays, risks, safety concerns, or operational issues to management.
• Verify workers' attendance and endorse timesheets for payroll processing.
• Lead, guide, and motivate site workers to maintain high standards of safety, productivity, discipline, and workmanship.
• Ensure proper coordination between different work teams to minimize delays and maintain smooth site operations.
  
  
  
  Requirements
• Good knowledge of reinforcement works, formwork systems, concreting, lifting operations, and general construction activities.
• Proven experience in construction site supervision or as a General Foreman.
• Experience supervising and coordinating multinational construction workers.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, method statements, and work instructions.
• Good knowledge of site coordination, manpower planning, and construction work sequences.
• Overseas or Middle East construction experience is an advantage, particularly experience in large-scale building, civil engineering, industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, or infrastructure projects.
• Candidates with relevant overseas construction experience are encouraged to apply.
• Physically fit and willing to work in outdoor construction environments.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, night shifts, and public holidays when required.
• Good leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
