Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee daily construction activities and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. The successful candidate will coordinate site operations, supervise workers and subcontractors, and work closely with engineers and project management to achieve project schedules while maintaining high standards of quality and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities, including rebar installation, formwork, concreting, and other general construction works.
- Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to ensure smooth site operations and timely project completion.
- Review construction drawings, method statements, and work instructions, and provide guidance to site teams.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure all works comply with project specifications, quality standards, and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
- Plan and allocate site resources effectively to minimize delays and material wastage.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure prompt rectification of defects, unsafe practices, and non-compliance issues.
- Prepare daily progress reports and report project issues, risks, or delays to management.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, consultants, and clients to resolve technical and operational matters.
- Lead and supervise site workers to maintain productivity, discipline, and safety awareness.
- Verify workers' attendance and endorse timesheets before submission to the HR department.
Requirements - Good knowledge of reinforcement works, formwork systems, concreting, and general construction practices.
- Overseas construction experience is an advantage, particularly experience in process construction, petrochemical, oil & gas, marine, shipyard, or other industrial construction projects.
- Experience working in Singapore or overseas projects involving process construction, petrochemical, oil & gas, marine, or shipyard environments will be an added advantage.
- Ability to supervise and communicate effectively with a multinational workforce.
- Strong leadership, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor construction environments.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, night shifts, and public holidays when required.
Relevant experience in construction supervision, preferably overseas construction projects.
Candidates with relevant overseas construction experience and strong site supervision experience are encouraged to apply.
