Job Summary
Lead technical functions for engine and product repairs, driving quality improvements and process innovations within Engines MRO environment. Collaborate with authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead repair engine products/platform technical functions to ensure effective maintenance and quality outcomes
- Provide technical support by resolving manual discrepancies and proposing out-of-manual repair solutions for mature repairs
- Review and interpret publications from OEMs and customers (ESM, SB, IC, industrial specifications) to maintain repair standards
- Design, review, and manage RFQ processes for production repair fixtures, jigs, and tools to optimize repair operations
- Conduct tooling and consumable equivalency reviews to validate repair resources
- Perform First Article inspections on new repairs to verify compliance and readiness
- Execute capability setup and declaration for new repairs, equipment, or processes for regulatory submission
- Draft and amend technical worksheets to document repair procedures accurately
- Lead or assist investigations into engine/product quality failures by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Manage repair special processes, providing technical support to resolve repair or process quality issues related to equipment, parameters, or manuals
- Review process-related publications from OEMs and customers (ESM, SPM, IC, industrial specifications) to ensure process compliance
- Generate and govern process parameters and identify improvements to drive cost savings and efficiency
- Maintain and control in-house process specifications to uphold quality standards
- Prepare maintenance procedures (FMM) for new equipment to ensure operational reliability
- Develop aviation Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA) for new processes to mitigate risks
- Lead or assist investigations into process quality failures or industrial accidents by performing root cause analysis and following up on corrective and preventive measures
- Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g., NEA) to ensure process requirements are met and maintained
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering
- Knowledge of FAA 45 / EASA 145 regulations
- Understanding of regulatory NDT requirements
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Min. 3 to 5 years of experience in Propulsion Engines and Components MRO environment
- Strong fundamentals in engineering drawing interpretation
- Understanding of repair processes
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated high degree of initiative
