Job Summary

Manage full sets of accounts for SME clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and timely completion of accounting tasks. Collaborate with clients and team members to resolve accounting issues and support junior staff development.

Responsibilities

• Manage full sets of accounts for a portfolio of SME clients to ensure accurate financial records
• Perform bank reconciliations and review accounting transactions to maintain data integrity
• Prepare year-end schedules, management accounts, and financial statements to support business decisions
• Compile quarterly GST returns and supporting schedules in compliance with Singapore tax regulations
• Prepare corporate tax computations and supporting schedules to meet statutory requirements
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information and resolve accounting queries effectively
• Organize and maintain proper supporting documents and working papers for audit readiness
• Coordinate with accounting and tax reviewers to address and clear review points promptly
• Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their accounting skills and work quality
• Monitor project deadlines and manage multiple client accounts to ensure timely job completion

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma, degree, or professional qualification in accounting or related discipline
• Experience in an accounting firm, corporate service provider, or outsourced accounting environment
• Familiarity with Singapore GST and corporate tax requirements
• Proficiency with Xero or other cloud accounting software
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong communication skills for clear interaction with clients and team members
• Attention to detail and responsibility to follow tasks through to completion
