We are looking for top talent as “Regional Sales Director”. The successful candidate will be a born leader, has already developed some managerial competences, excellent communication, and presentation skills. You will work closely with the Chief Sales Officer, Asia Pacific to develop the skill set to perform all tasks within the Sales and Marketing region. Your ambition should be to develop yourself into a Management position within the PM Group. You will be based in Singapore.
The Regional Sales Director – Asia Pacific is a senior leadership position responsible for developing, directing and overseeing the Group's sales strategy and commercial activities across the Asia Pacific region.
Based in Singapore, the Regional Sales Director will provide regional leadership and strategic direction to sales operations across multiple markets, with responsibility for driving revenue growth, developing key markets and customers, strengthening sales performance and supporting the Group's overall regional business objectives.
The role requires extensive knowledge of the Group's products, business model, customers, sales processes and regional operations, together with significant experience in international sales and business development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Regional Sales Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies and business plans in alignment with the Group's overall objectives.
- Establish regional sales targets, performance objectives and growth strategies.
- Monitor regional sales performance and implement corrective actions where required.
- Identify opportunities for business expansion and market development across Asia Pacific.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to regional sales operations.
2. Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across existing and emerging markets.
- Evaluate market potential and develop strategies for market entry and expansion.
- Build and maintain relationships with major customers, distributors, business partners and other key stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations and strategic discussions with key regional customers and partners.
- Develop strategies to strengthen the Group's market presence and competitive position.
3. Regional Team Management
- Provide leadership, direction and guidance to regional sales teams.
- Set objectives and performance expectations for sales teams and managers.
- Review sales performance and provide coaching and strategic guidance to regional teams.
- Support the recruitment, development and retention of sales talent where required.
- Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across regional sales teams.
4. Key Account & Customer Management
- Oversee the management of strategic and high-value regional accounts.
- Develop long-term relationships with key customers and business partners.
- Ensure consistent service standards and commercial practices across markets.
- Address significant customer and commercial issues at a regional level.
5. Sales Performance & Commercial Management
- Analysed regional sales performance, market trends and business opportunities.
- Prepare and present regional sales reports, forecasts and business plans to senior management.
- Manage regional sales budgets and resources in accordance with company objectives.
- Establish appropriate sales KPIs and monitor performance against agreed targets.
- Recommend commercial initiatives to improve sales efficiency and profitability.
6. Cross-Border Coordination
- Coordinate sales activities and commercial initiatives across the Group's Asia Pacific markets.
- Work closely with country managers and local management teams to ensure alignment of regional objectives.
- Facilitate the sharing of successful sales strategies, market intelligence and operational practices between markets.
- Act as a key liaison between the Singapore headquarters and the Group's regional operations.
7. Strategic & Senior Management Responsibilities
- Participate in regional management discussions and contribute to strategic business decisions.
- Provide senior management with market intelligence and recommendations relating to regional growth opportunities.
- Assess regional business risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.
- Represent the Group at selected regional customer meetings, industry events and business engagements.
Geographic Scope
The Regional Sales Director will be based in Singapore and have responsibility for sales development and commercial activities across selected Asia Pacific markets.
Reporting & Organisational Responsibilities
The Regional Sales Director will report directly to the Chief Sales Officer and will work closely with the management teams of the Group's Asia Pacific entities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Marketing, Sales, Management or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in sales and business development, preferably within an international or regional organization.
- Proven experience in senior sales management and leadership.
- Experience managing sales activities across multiple markets or territories.
- Strong knowledge of international sales, business development and key account management.
- Strong commercial, negotiation and strategic planning capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
