Hotel Operations Manager

Mama Shelter Singapore is looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the hotel.

This role is suited for an experienced hotel operator who is highly visible on the floor, commercially minded, guest-focused and able to drive both operational execution and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations across Rooms, F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping and Engineering
• Take ownership of operational performance, departmental profitability and key P&L drivers
• Review revenue, labour cost, COGS, expenses and productivity, and implement corrective actions where required
• Lead daily operational briefings and ensure effective manpower deployment
• Maintain strong management presence during peak service periods
• Drive service standards, guest experience and complaint resolution
• Coordinate department heads and ensure clear accountability and timely follow-up
• Ensure events, activations and high-volume periods are properly planned and executed
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and operating performance against targets
• Coach managers and supervisors and build stronger operational discipline
• Provide management with regular operational and financial performance updates

Requirements

• Minimum 5–8 years of hotel operations experience
• Prior experience as Operations Manager, Assistant Hotel Manager, EAM, F&B Manager or similar leadership role
• Proven experience managing departmental or hotel P&L, budgets, forecasts and cost controls
• Strong understanding of hotel revenue, manpower cost, F&B cost, GOP and operating margins
• Strong exposure to F&B-led, lifestyle or high-volume hotel operations preferred
• Confident managing multiple departments and resolving operational issues quickly
• Strong leadership, communication and people-management skills
• Commercially minded and comfortable working with numbers and performance targets
• Willing to work operational hours, including evenings, weekends and key events
