Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Procurement / Purchasing professional to support the purchasing and payment processes for project materials, equipment, plant, services and rentals. The role will work closely with project teams, internal departments and suppliers to ensure timely procurement, delivery and accurate processing of invoices.
Responsibilities
· Process internal purchase requisitions for project requirements.
· Source quotations, evaluate suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing.
· Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and coordinate delivery schedules with requestors and suppliers.
· Check delivery orders against purchase orders and ensure goods / services are received as requested.
· Verify and certify invoices against supporting documents, including POs and delivery orders, for payment processing.
· Follow up on outstanding requisitions, deliveries and billing matters to ensure timely completion.
· Liaise with suppliers on pricing, quality, delivery and invoicing issues.
· Maintain vendor records, purchasing data and essential product / consumable records.
· Maintain records relating to scrap materials, fixed assets, asset allocation and cost charging.
· Prepare payment certification and other procurement-related documentation where required.
· Work closely with project teams, HQ departments, suppliers, consultants and subcontractors to support project requirements.
Required competencies and certifications
· NITEC, Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline.
· Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
· Good numerical and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills.
· Responsible, organised and committed to delivering work accurately and on time.
Preferred Competencies and Qualifications
· Prior experience in procurement, purchasing or project administration.
· Experience in the construction, engineering or infrastructure industry.
· Knowledge of the Security of Payment Act (SOPA) and its relevance to project-related payment processes.
· Familiarity with ERP, procurement or purchasing systems.
· Experience in supplier management, quotation evaluation and price negotiation.
· Knowledge of project-related materials, plant, equipment, services or rental procurement.
