Junior Materials & Production Planner (Equipment & Spares)

As a Planner, you will be responsible for managing demand planning activities, analyzing historical billing data, and developing inventory stocking strategies to support operational requirements and ensure material availability.
Responsibilities:
- Manage demand planning process, analyze the historical billing to develop stocking strategy for supporting demand.
- Responsible for Supply planning & Drive for optimal inventory to meet customer OTD performance while ensuring inventory target are met.
- Anticipate customer requirement and work closely with buyers to develop measures to improve delivery commitment to customers.
- Act as interface among Business Unit, Customer Operations, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Logistic & Engineering.
- Manage E&O to minimize exposure.Manage Product Life Cycle process to ensure smooth execution of new product launch and materials requirements to minimize End-Of-Life exposure.
- Take counter-measures for aging stock.Responsible for preparing/supporting Quarterly reports/matrix.
- Active involvement in driving process improvement and task with ad hoc project work.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Familiar with Materials and Production planning in a manufacturing environment.
- Good Interpersonal skill, able to communicate across different levels to get job done proficiently.
- Conversant with demand planning and establishing re-order point without impacting inventory turns.
- Possess strong analytical skills eg. in demand trending, buying pattern etc. and identification of issues and root causes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Table (Must).
- Proficient in Oracle an advantageGood time management and presentation skills.
- Able to work in highly customer driven environment and are expected to work under pressure with the ability to resolve work issues, prioritize tasks and resilient to changes.
- Able to work as a team, provide support and cooperation among peers and different levels in the Organization
- Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management
