Primary Responsibility

The Retail Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall retail operations of SKIMS stores in Singapore, ensuring operational excellence, strong store performance, exceptional customer experience and effective team leadership.

The role will work closely with the CEO and Brand Manager, to execute the brand's retail strategy, maintain operational and brand standards across all stores, develop retail talent and support the continued growth of the SKIMS business in Singapore.

This role may also be required to support future business expansion or regional retail operations should the Company expand into new markets.

Areas of Responsibilities

Retail Operations &Store Performance

  • Oversee the daily operations of SKIMS retail stores in Singapore, ensuring smooth and efficient store execution.
  • Drive store performance to achieve and exceed sales, productivity and operational targets.
  • Monitor key retail KPIs including sales, conversion, average transaction value, UPT and customer traffic.
  • Analyse store performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure consistent execution of company policies, retail SOPs and operational standards across stores.
  • Conduct regular store visits and operational reviews to identify areas for improvements

Team Leadership & People Development

  • Lead, coach and develop the retail team to achieve business and service objectives.
  • Work closely with People Operations Division on manpower planning, recruitment and work force requirements.
  • Ensure effective onboarding, training and development of retail employees.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Drive a positive, accountable and customer-focused store culture
  • Ensure appropriate manpower allocation and effective rostering according to business needs.
  • Identify and develop high-potential employees and future retail leaders.

Customer Experience & Service

  • Ensure a consistent and premium SKIMS customer experience across all stores.
  • Set and maintain high standards of customer service, selling behaviours and product knowledge.
  • Monitor customer feedback and address escalated customer service matters appropriately.
  • Coach store teams on customer engagement, product presentation and service standards.
  • Ensure the customer journey and in-store experience consistently reflect SKIMS brand DNA.

Inventory & Store Operations

  • Oversee inventory accuracy, stock management, replenishment and stockroom organisation.
  • Ensure proper receiving, transfers, stock counts and inventory controls are carried out.
  • Monitor stock availability and work closely with the Brand Manager and relevant teams on replenishment requirements.
  • Ensure POS transactions, cash handling and daily operational processes are properly managed.
  • Monitor shrinkage and implement appropriate controls to minimise stock loss.
  • Ensure accurate operational reporting and timely resolution of discrepancies.

Store Standards, VM & Brand Execution

  • Ensure stores consistently maintain SKIMS' required standards in visual merchandising, grooming, cleanliness and overall presentation.
  • Work closely with the Brand Manager and relevant teams to ensure retail execution is aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Ensure all promotional campaigns, product launches and new initiatives are executed effectively in stores.
  • Maintain high standards of store maintenance and presentation.

Store Opening & Expansion

  • Support the planning and execution of new SKIMS store openings and pop-ups.
  • Coordinate retail operational requirements including manpower, training, SOPs, stock, systems and store readiness.
  • Work closely with the Brand Manager and relevant internal teams to ensure stores are fully operational before opening.
  • As SKIMS expands into Malaysia, take responsibility for the retail operations setup and ongoing management of Malaysia stores, where required.
  • Support the development and implementation of consistent retail SOPs and operational standards across Singapore and Malaysia.

Training & Retail Excellence

  • Develop and implement retail training programmes covering customer service, product knowledge, selling techniques and operational procedures.
  • Conduct regular store training and coaching sessions.
  • Ensure Store Leader, Assistant Store Leader and Supervisors are equipped to effectively lead their respective teams.
  • Establish best practices and drive continuous improvement across store operations.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide regular updates to the CEO and Brand Manager on store performance, manpower, operational issues and key retail initiatives.
  • Prepare and analyse retail performance reports and highlight key trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Work closely with People Operations, Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, MIS and other relevant teams to support retail operations.
  • Escalate operational risks and business issues in a timely manner and recommend appropriate solutions.

Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

  • Ensure all stores comply with company policies, operational SOPs, workplace safety requirements and relevant regulations.
  • Ensure proper cash, inventory and asset controls are in place.
  • Address operational risks promptly and implement corrective actions where required.

Other Responsibilities

  • Represent SKIMS professionally and act as a strong ambassador of the brand.
  • Support business initiatives, events and activations as required.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Management to support the Company's retail operations and business needs.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, Fashion, Hospitality or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant retail experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or multi-store leadership role.
  • Strong experience in premium, fashion, beauty, lifestyle or luxury retail is preferred.
  • Proven track record in managing retail teams and driving sales performance.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management, customer experience and store standards.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organised, hands-on and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel between stores and Singapore/Malaysia when required.
