SENIOR TEAM MEMBER / TEAM MEMBER

Primary Responsibility

The Senior Team Member / Team Member is an integral part of the SKIMS store team, responsible for delivering an elevated and personalised customer experience while supporting sales and daily store operations.

Both levels are expected to demonstrate strong customer service, product knowledge and selling skills. Senior Team Members take on additional responsibilities in supporting the Supervisory team, guiding Team Members and ensuring smooth execution of daily store activities.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Sales – All Levels

• Welcome and engage customers in a warm, professional and personalised manner.
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable SKIMS products based on fit, size, style and preferences.
• Develop strong knowledge of SKIMS products, collections, fabrics, sizing and key product features.
• Provide appropriate product, fit and styling recommendations.
• Support customers throughout the fitting room experience.
• Work towards individual and store sales targets.
• Process purchases, returns and exchanges accurately.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout the customer journey.

Store Operations – All Levels

• Maintain the sales floor to a high standard of cleanliness, organisation and presentation.
• Replenish products and maintain size integrity throughout the day.
• Assist with receiving, organising and transferring stock.
• Support stockroom organisation and inventory activities.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned.
• Follow company SOPs, operational procedures and safety requirements.

Additional Responsibilities – Senior Team Member

In addition to the responsibilities above, the Senior Team Member will:

• Act as a role model for Team Members in customer service, product knowledge and selling behaviours.
• Support the Supervisor and management team with daily sales floor execution and team deployment.
• Provide guidance and day-to-day support to Team Members.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new Team Members.
• Support the team in maintaining customer service, product and operational standards.
• Assist the Supervisor in ensuring assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Provide feedback to the Supervisor on customer needs, team performance and operational matters.
• Take a more active role in supporting the sales floor during peak trading periods.

Any other ad hoc responsibilities assigned as needed.

Requirements

Team Member

• Previous experience in retail, sales, hospitality or customer service is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable engaging with customers and providing product recommendations.
• Positive, proactive and willing to learn.
• Passionate about fashion, retail and delivering an excellent customer experience.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willing to work retail hours, weekends and public holidays.

Senior Team Member

• Minimum 2 years of retail experience, preferably in fashion, premium retail or a customer-focused environment.
• Strong selling and customer service skills with good product knowledge.
• Previous experience supporting or guiding junior team members is an advantage.
• Confident in taking responsibility for daily sales floor activities.
• Able to coach and support Team Members by providing guidance and feedback.
• Proactive, dependable and able to take ownership of tasks.
• Comfortable working retail hours, weekends and public holidays.
