Company / Role Overview
A global organisation is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to support thequality assurance of digital products across mobile, desktop and web-basedplatforms. The role will focus on designing, developing and executing automatedand manual test coverage across functional and API testing, while contributingto test strategy and quality improvement. You will work closely with SDETs,architects, technical leads and Agile delivery teams throughout the productdevelopment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and execute automated test suites covering functional and API test scenarios.
- Review product requirements and contribute to test strategies and testing approaches that support overall product quality.
- Assess application code flows and understand how code interacts with related processes and components.
- Perform manual and automated regression testing across mobile, desktop and web-based applications.
- Create and maintain BDD-based test scripts using Cucumber and Gherkin.
- Build and execute automation tests, troubleshoot test scripts and investigate defects or other testing issues.
- Test APIs using Postman and other relevant testing tools, and create scripts to support automated load testing.
- Perform application penetration testing using tools such as Netsparker and Burp Suite, while documenting processes, tracking user issues and contributing to quality and process improvements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in QA, software testing or a similar role.
- Experience coordinating with offshore teams and working with other SDET leads.
- Strong understanding of Behaviour Driven Development and experience creating BDD test scenarios.
- Strong programming knowledge in Java, JavaScript and Python.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
- Hands-on experience with tools including JIRA, Confluence, Git and Jenkins.
- Ability to identify application risks, defects and errors, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration, written communication and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift.
- Ability to remain current with relevant developments and emerging trends in software quality and testing.
- Willingness to travel occasionally based on business requirements.
