Job Summary
Support quantity surveying activities for ELV and related construction projects by preparing tenders, evaluating subcontractor quotations, monitoring site progress, managing project documentation, and liaising with clients and teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and pricing tenders for ELV and related construction works to support project bidding
- Apply basic knowledge of ELV systems to contribute to cost estimation and tender preparation
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for tenders and contracts to ensure accurate budgeting
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations to support procurement decisions and cost control
- Conduct site measurements and monitor work progress against bill of quantities to track project status
- Prepare progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts to facilitate timely payments and project closure
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for all project-related quantity surveying matters to ensure compliance
- Liaise effectively with site teams, consultants, and suppliers to coordinate project activities and resolve issues
- Manage running projects by tracking progress and addressing project requirements proactively
- Prepare and follow up on monthly progress claims to ensure timely submission and approval
- Assist in finalizing project accounts with clients and subcontractors to close out contracts accurately
- Engage clients via phone calls to gather information and provide project updates to maintain clear communication
- Perform general administrative duties including preparing weekly and monthly reports to support project management
- Execute additional duties as assigned by management to support overall project and team objectives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines
- Competent in MS Office and AutoCAD software to support project documentation and drawings
- Minimum 2 years of relevant quantity surveying experience in Singapore, including ELV projects
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Methodical approach with strong numerical skills to ensure accuracy in cost estimation and reporting
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to engage stakeholders professionally
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality
- Highly self-motivated with professionalism, integrity, and adaptability to dynamic work environments
