System Administrator

Designation :Resident Engineer — System Administrator (Content Server)
Experience : 3+ years
Working Days : Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Scope of Work

• Perform regular monitoring of system health, logs, performance metrics, and trends at agreed intervals.
• Review system alerts and event logs to detect anomalies early.
• Diagnose and resolve technical incidents promptly; escalate complex cases to vendor (OpenText) support when necessary.
• Apply software patches, updates, and conduct scheduled maintenance according to change management processes.
• Support users with access requests, permissions changes, and operational issues.
• Participate in system audits and assist with compliance-related checks.
• Conduct capacity planning and recommend performance improvements or upgrades.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, incident responses, changes, and system recovery processes.
• Provide technical input during project rollouts, migrations, or enhancements affecting Content Server.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary onsite point of contact for all Content Server inquiries and issues.
• Maximize system uptime by monitoring performance, addressing risks, and preventing unplanned outages.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and data protection requirements.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams and 3rd parties vendors for escalations, upgrades, and root cause analysis.
• Provide support to the backup and recovery team by supplying logs, system information, and assistance during recovery procedures.
• Participate in problem management activities to identify recurring issues and suggest permanent fixes.
• Support business users during UAT, system upgrades, and change implementation windows.
