Project Engineer (Marine Systems)

Our client is a leading global technology provider specializing in advanced maritime automation systems. They develop critical technologies that support complex operations at sea and enable the global transition to offshore renewable energy.

The Role

As a Project Engineer, you will specialize in Dynamic Positioning (DP) software. Your time will be dynamically split between in-office engineering tasks and traveling worldwide to commission these systems on board vessels.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute global on-board commissioning for DP software systems.

• Participate in system installations and key testing phases, including Customer Acceptance Tests (CAT), Internal Acceptance Tests (IAT), and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).

• Produce and maintain essential project documentation, such as design documents and operational procedures.

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between clients and the main office regarding pre-commissioning, maintenance, and system operations.

• Collaborate with head office experts to innovate, improve, and effectively manage product delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybernetics, Control Engineering, Marine Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience in the navy / shipbuilding industry is preferred.

• Knowledge of C/C++ programming is an advantage.
