Data Center Technician / IT Infrastructure Engineer (Servers & Network)

Location: Singapore (Islandwide Data Centers – deployment will be arranged as close to your residence as much as possible)

Employment Type: 24 or 36-month Renewable Contract

We are hiring on behalf of a leading global technology company with multiple enterprise data centers across Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, relocate, rack and decommission servers, network devices and storage equipment.
• Perform structured cabling, patching and cable management.
• Carry out hardware break-fix support, including replacement of HDD, SSD, RAM, motherboard, SFP modules and other server components.
• Troubleshoot server, storage and network hardware issues, and escalate where necessary.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure data center equipment operates reliably.
• Support preventive maintenance, scheduled change activities and infrastructure upgrades.
• Maintain inventory for spare parts, RMA equipment and tools.
• Coordinate and supervise vendors during maintenance and installation works.
• Manage data center access requests and support POP site operations where required.
• Prepare maintenance reports and update operational records.
• Participate in standby support, after-hours maintenance and shift duties when required.
• Perform other ad hoc duties assigned by the team.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.

Candidates with at least 1 year of experience in Data Center Operations, IT Infrastructure, Server Support, Network Support, Hardware Support, Desktop Support or IT Field Support are preferred. Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge are also welcome to apply.

Applicants should possess a basic understanding of structured cabling, server hardware, network infrastructure and hardware troubleshooting, together with good analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidates should also be willing to work shifts and standby when required. A monthly shift allowance of S$250 will be provided for applicable roles.

Experience with enterprise data center operations, incident or change management processes will be an advantage. Professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, Linux+, ITIL or CDCP are welcomed but not mandatory.
