Network Engineer (Managed Services)

Job Description & Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site network support and managed services at customer premises

• Monitor, maintain and support customers’ network infrastructure and related IT systems

• Perform network troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and issue resolution within agreed service levels

• Carry out preventive maintenance, health checks and routine inspections of network equipment

• Configure, install and support network equipment, including switches, routers, wireless access points and firewalls

• Attend to customer service requests, incidents and technical escalations

• Coordinate with customers, vendors and internal technical teams to resolve network-related issues

• Perform on-site troubleshooting and provide timely updates to customers and relevant stakeholders

• Maintain accurate service records, incident reports, technical documentation and asset information

• Support network implementation, migration, upgrade and maintenance activities

• Participate in scheduled maintenance activities, including work outside normal working hours where required

Requirements:

• Diploma in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

• At least 1 year of experience in network implementation, technical support or managed services

• Basic knowledge of network technologies, including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, Wi-Fi and routing

• Familiarity with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Juniper or equivalent will be an advantage

• Experience in providing on-site customer support will be an advantage

• Able to work independently at customer sites while maintaining effective communication with internal teams

• Team player with good communication, analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills

• Meticulous, self-motivated and able to work under pressure

• Good foundation in information technology trends and developments

Working Hours:
9:00am to 6:00pm (Mondays to Fridays)

Work Location:
Deployment at customer sites may be required.
