Teachers’ Assistant (School Environment)

Key Duties:

• Teacher Admin Support: Help maintain and update data records, including regular stocktaking of teaching resources and classroom inventory.
• Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing daily teaching materials and resources to be used directly in classrooms.
• Relief Management: Work closely with Heads of Department (HOD) to assist with school relief duty arrangements when required.
• Safety Chaperon Duties: Supervise students during peak hours, including daily morning arrival, afternoon dismissal, and recess play.
• Excursion Support: Accompany teachers and act as an active safety chaperon for students going on external Learning Journeys.
• Event Assistance: Provide administrative logistics support during school events (e.g., ushering for Parent-Teacher meetings or managing registration counters for school concerts).

Job Requirements

• Experience (Preferred): At least 1 year of working experience as a Teacher Assistant or Teacher Aide within a local primary school environment.
• Educational Background: Preferably a Secondary 4 education or equivalent academic qualifications.
• Technical Skills: Competent and conversant in standard office tools, specifically Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Soft Skills: Patient, excellent communication skills, and comfortable working with young children.

Working Hours & Location

• School Term Hours:Monday to Thursday: 6:45 AM to 4:00 PM (Includes a 45-minute lunch break)Friday: 6:45 AM to 3:30 PM (Includes a 45-minute lunch break)
• School Holiday Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM
• Rest Days: Saturdays, Sundays, and all gazetted Public Holidays.
