Air Freight Manager/Assistant Manager (Export)

• Salary: Up to S$7,000 (commensurate with experience)

A leading global MNC in the logistics industry is seeking an experienced Air Freight Export Customer Service Manager / Assistant Manager to lead its customer service function and support the continued growth of its air freight operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Air Freight Customer Service Export team to ensure efficient and consistent service delivery
• Act as the key point of contact for existing clients and manage customer expectations and requirements
• Liaise closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution
• Manage operational and commercial requirements from shipment commencement through to completion of billing
• Train, develop and mentor team members to strengthen service quality and operational capabilities
• Oversee delegation, work load planning and team performance to ensure productivity and service standards are maintained
• Monitor departmental KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure proper follow-up on customer requirements, operational issues and outstanding matters
• Oversee billing, invoicing, client payments and inter-company payment processes with relevant stakeholders
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of shipment documentation and records
• Develop and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions and other operational documentation
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company procedures and quality standards

Job Requirements:

• Min. Diploma or equivalent qualifications
• Min. 5 years of relevant experience in air freight / freight forwarding (Export), with supervisory or managerial experience
• Strong customer service and key account management experience
• Strong knowledge of air freight operations and shipment processes
• Strong leadership, delegation and team management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge in CargoWise One is an advantage
