Technical Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Manage the technical department by leading skilled technicians to deliver high-quality project outcomes. Oversee project budgets, schedules, and timelines while troubleshooting issues and driving process improvements aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assign tasks to skilled technicians, directing their activities to ensure efficient project execution
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines by setting and monitoring KPIs/OKRs to achieve targeted outcomes
• Troubleshoot technical problems promptly and remove project roadblocks to maintain progress
• Review team outputs for technical accuracy and enforce the use of best-practice methods, quality materials, and equipment
• Align team goals with organizational objectives by managing resources and driving continuous process improvements for operational efficiency
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and finance departments to ensure cross-functional alignment and support project success
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and gather actionable feedback to enhance service delivery
• Prepare detailed reports on project progress to inform stakeholders and support decision-making

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering with at least 3 years of relevant working experience
• Technical knowledge in welding and bracket production, compressor maintenance, and PCB repair
