Robotics Manipulator Engineer (Software Architecture)
About this job
Your Mission
This position is responsible for building a robotic manipulation software platform that transforms proven bin-picking technologies into a scalable, maintainable, and deployable product for rollout across manufacturing facilities worldwide. The successful candidate will lead the internalization, standardization, and productization of the company’s robotic manipulation software platform.
What To Expect
- Define and maintain the overall architecture of the robotic manipulation software platform.
- Transform existing project-specific software into a reusable and configurable software product.
- Establish software architecture standards, coding guidelines, and development frameworks.
- Drive the modularization and standardization of software components for global deployment.
- Design scalable software infrastructure that supports multiple factories, part families, and robotic cells.
- Architect end-to-end robotic manipulation pipelines, including vision processing, object segmentation, 6D pose estimation, grasp planning, motion planning, and robot execution.
- Design scalable MLOps infrastructure and architect AI model deployment workflows, including data management, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Develop deployment strategies for global factory rollouts.
- Create software architecture documentation, standards, and best practices.
- Support technology transfer to regional engineering teams.
- Lead architecture reviews and technical design discussions, and evaluate emerging robotics and AI technologies.
- Prepare technical reports, document program code, and develop setup manuals.
What You'll Bring
- Master’s or PhD degree in Robotics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, with more than 3 years of industry experience.
- Extensive experience in software architecture or robotics software development.
