KYC Reviewer/ Preparer

Job Responsibilities

Review and assess escalated KYC cases referred by Level 1 (L1) teams, in accordance with established compliance procedures and service standards.

Conduct Source of Wealth (SOW) reviews, including benchmarking, preparation of SOW write-ups, and risk assessment documentation.

Independently analyze customer information and supporting documents to identify potential risks, gaps, or inconsistencies.

Ensure KYC reviews are completed accurately and within agreed timelines.

Apply relevant AML/KYC policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in the review and assessment of cases.

Support accurate status tracking, management information (MI) reporting, and project monitoring.

Maintain appropriate documentation and records of review outcomes and assessments.

Work closely with relevant stakeholders to clarify case information and resolve review-related issues.

Perform other related KYC/AML activities as required to support project and operational requirements.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in KYC, AML, Compliance, or a related function.

Relevant experience in handling escalated KYC/compliance cases, preferably involving Level 3 (L3) reviews.

Hands-on experience in Source of Wealth (SOW) review, benchmarking, write-ups, and risk assessment documentation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently conduct SOW reviews and manage cases within agreed timelines.

Prior experience in AML/KYC projects within the banking, financial services, or a related regulated industry.

Working knowledge of applicable MAS and HKMA AML/CFT regulatory requirements.

Good written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in status tracking and MI reporting is preferred.
