Assistant Finance Manager (FMCG, 6 Months) #ESY

1. Finance Operations

Support the Assistant Manager in execution of daily finance operations, including:

• Manage the full spectrum of accounting activities for the entity, in compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls and SOPs

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries accurately and within reporting timelines.

• Liaise with business units and Operations to ensure timely and accurate recording of revenue and expenses.

• Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules, perform account reconciliations and ensure timely clearance of outstanding items.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure completeness and accuracy of cash records.

• Support payments and collections, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

• Manage intercompany transactions, including reconciliation, investigation and resolution of differences.

• Support month-end closing, audit requests, internal controls and other ad hoc finance activities as required.

2. SAP S/4HANA Implementation Project (As required)

Provide finance support to the SAP S/4HANA implementation project when required, including:

• Support data validation and UAT phase of the project.

• Assist with defect resolution, cutover and go-live activities as required.

• Work with Finance, IT and project team to resolve any system and process issues.

Key Skills & Experience

• SAP: Hands-on functional experience, preferably with Finance processes and implementation projects.

• Accounting: Relevant Accounting or Finance qualification (e.g. ACCA, Diploma or Degree in Accounting or equivalent), with strong accounting fundamentals.

• Finance Operations: Practical experience in month-end closing, reconciliations and core finance operation processes.

• SAP Implementation: Experience in UAT, master data migration, cutover phases of new SAP system implementation

• FMCG Experience: Experience in FMCG / consumer goods or other fast-paced, high-volume commercial environments is preferred.

• Analytical & Problem Solving: Quick to learn and pick up new processes, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proactive in identifying and resolving questions and issues independently.
