SALES MANAGER

Job Summary

A Sales Manager (Outdoor Sales-Hunter Role) in freight forwarding is responsible for driving revenue growth by securing new commercial accounts and expanding existing client relationships. Someone who acts as the primary strategic link between a logistics provider’s supply chain capabilities(ocean/air/logistics) and B2B clients looking to optimize their global cargo movement.

Drive business growth by executing targeted development strategies, securing high-value accounts across ocean and air transport modes, and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure continuous service excellence and revenue increase.

Responsibilities

• Build and present spot-market quotes and long term contract rates. Negotiate standard pricing structures directly with clients while collaborating with trade lane managers to secure viable margins.
• Partner with Accounts to review customer credit applications, and assist in resolving outstanding collection issues if a commercial account falls into arrears.
• Develop and implement business development strategies to increase revenue and volume growth
• Identify and analyze potential business sectors and initiate strategic plans to capture new growth opportunities
• Maintain regular communication and conduct service reviews with customers and agents to ensure high service quality and foster ongoing business relationships

Requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• 3-5+ years of proven outdoor sales experience specifically within the freight forwarding industries
• Deep understanding of global trade lanes, customs regulations and ocean/air carrier networks
• Preferably with own customer based/existing book of business
• Strong negotiation, complex pricing analysis.
