About this job

1. Teaching and Learning

• Plan and deliver high-quality ICT lessons that engage, challenge and inspire students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with additional learning needs.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and well-being.
• Use a range of teaching strategies to develop students’ creativity, collaboration, problem-solving and digital confidence.
• Monitor and evaluate student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student progress.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress using the School’s Management Information System (iSAMS).
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Secondary and Curriculum and Assessment Lead to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery, teaching approaches and assessment practices.
• Contribute to curriculum development and review within ICT, including projects and practical applications.

Adapt ICT provision appropriately for students across different developmental stages, including YEP/Primary and Secondary where required.

2. Student Support and Well-being

· Promote a learning environment that supports students’ academic, social and emotional development.
· Monitor student progress and identify individual learning needs.
· Participate in Pupil Progress Meetings and contribute to intervention strategies where required.
· Support inclusive practices for students with diverse learning needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, learning differences).
· Work collaboratively with the Head of Secondary and Curriculum and Assessment Lead to support student development.
· Contribute to the maintenance of a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment.

3. Assessment & Curriculum

· Implement school-based assessment and reporting practices in line with curriculum expectations.
· Design and adapt assessment tasks to meet the needs of diverse learners.
· Use assessment data to inform teaching and improve student outcomes.
· Work with the Head of Secondary and Curriculum and Assessment Lead to ensure alignment of ICT curriculum, assessment and reporting practices with whole-school systems.
· Support the delivery of a coherent and progressive ICT curriculum across year levels.
· Contribute to curriculum mapping , resource development and project planning.

4. Communication & Collaboration

· Work collaboratively with colleagues, including the Head of Secondary and Curriculum and Assessment Lead to support consistent teaching and learning practices.
· Maintain clear communication with students, parents and staff regarding student progress and learning.
· Participate in staff meetings, professional learning and school events as required.
· Engage in professional dialogue to reflect on and improve teaching practice.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in ICT, Computer Science, Education or a related field
  • Teaching qualification or relevant certification
  • Experience teaching ICT at the relevant age range
  • Strong understanding of ICT pedagogy, digital learning and technology integration.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
