Production Senior Engineer (Yishun)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Department: Production Engineering

Reports to: Production Manager

Functional relationships:

- Process engineering in Japan factories

- Related R&D in Japan

- Process engineering in oversea affiliates: China and Philippine

POSITION PROFILE:
Based in: Singapore
Job site: Yishun

This position is to propel improvement for manufacturing process (post-process) & product in terms of quality, efficiency and manufacturing cost with highly specialized process & product knowledge.

To give technical training for manufacturing post-process to local engineers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Policy, strategy alignment and coordination of PJT by collaborating with Japan HQ or other group company in Japan.

• To initiate periodical meetings with Japan HQ or other group company to solve problems in own division.

• To improve quality of products in view of post-process.

• To propel cost reduction of products.

• To improve manufacturing post-process efficiency.

• To transfer new technologies from Japan factories.

• To be a bridge between Japan factories and related R&D department to get necessary information timely and implement into Murata Singapore factory.

• To grasp new technology and make improvement proposals in quality, cost, efficiency and safety.

• To organize and provide technical training to local engineers.

Ability/Competency required:

• To hold bachelor’s degree or master's degree in engineering or science field.

• To have more than 5 years working experience in electronics manufacturing industry.

• To have deep & specialized technical knowledge in plating process and to be able to fully utilize it in actual job for improvement.

• To have business fluent Japanese and English language skills to liaise with Japan factories & R&D departments, and local staff in Murata Singapore factory.

• To have logical thinking, analytical skill and good engineering sense.

• To have strong mind-set for change and improvement.

• To have proactive attitude and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• To have networking ability with related functions
