Accountant

Job Responsibilities

1. Independently manage the full set of accounts for a few affiliated companies, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, month-end closing, and related accounting activities.
2. Prepare and submit Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns accurately and on time.
3. Liaise directly with the persons-in-charge of affiliated companies to collect financial information, verify transactions, and provide basic accounting or tax advice.
4. Ensure all companies’ accounting records are accurate, complete, and properly filed in a timely manner.
5. Assist with the preparation of annual audits and liaise with auditors when necessary.
6. Monitor deadlines for statutory filings and reports to ensure compliance with requirements from government authorities such as IRAS (Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore) and ACRA (Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority).
7. Proactively identify accounting or tax issues, propose solutions, and promptly report significant matters to the Directors.

Requirements

1. Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
2. At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
3. Able to independently handle full sets of accounts for multiple companies.
4. Familiar with Singapore tax regulations, including GST and corporate income tax filing.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Responsible, detail-oriented, with good time management skills and a strong sense of initiative.
