We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team in Singapore.
The Accountant will be responsible for managing the full set of accounts and financial activities of assigned entities, including supporting their operations across different jurisdictions where applicable. The role will work closely with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, statutory compliance and effective financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of accounts for assigned entities, including their operations or establishments in other jurisdictions.
- Handle general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, fixed assets and intercompany transactions, as applicable.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions and other accounting adjustments.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet schedules, reconciliations and financial reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial information and reporting schedules for assigned entities.
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and follow up on outstanding balances and discrepancies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting and variance analysis.
- Manage day-to-day finance activities, including banking, payments and cash flow monitoring.
- Ensure accounting records and supporting documentation are properly maintained for assigned entities and their overseas operations.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation and responses to auditor queries.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial service providers and other professional advisers in Singapore and relevant overseas jurisdictions.
- Assist with corporate income tax, GST/VAT and other applicable tax, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements for assigned entities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, local statutory requirements, internal policies and financial controls.
- Support financial reporting and internal control requirements applicable within a listed-company environment.
- Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders in Singapore and overseas to resolve accounting, reporting and finance-related matters.
- Support finance process improvements, system implementations and other finance-related projects.
- Undertake other finance and accounting duties as required.
Requirements
· Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or a recognised professional accounting qualification.
· CPA, ACCA, CA Singapore or equivalent professional qualification would be an advantage.
· At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including hands-on experience managing a full set of accounts.
· Good knowledge of Singapore accounting, tax and statutory requirements.
