Key Responsibilities
The Virtual Production Producer will oversee and manage Virtual Production (VP) projects from initial concept development through final delivery, ensuring seamless coordination between creative, production, and technical teams.
Pre-Production
- Review scripts, storyboards, and client briefs to define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and production milestones.
- Develop and manage virtual production workflows, ensuring alignment between creative vision and technical feasibility.
- Present virtual production solutions, methodologies, and workflows to clients and stakeholders.
- Manage client expectations and provide regular project updates throughout the production lifecycle.
- Coordinate closely with directors, producers, VFX supervisors, VP supervisors, and technical teams to ensure production readiness.
- Plan and allocate internal resources, including crew, artists, and technical personnel.
- Oversee virtual asset creation, environment development, and content delivery schedules.
- Track project progress and ensure deliverables are completed on time while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure all virtual production elements are tested, validated, and prepared prior to principal photography.
Production
- Lead day-to-day virtual production operations during shoots.
- Collaborate with the Brain Bar and VP technical teams to ensure virtual assets, environments, and real-time systems perform as intended.
- Maintain clear communication between creative, production, and technical departments throughout filming.
- Monitor production workflows and resolve operational issues in real time.
- Advise production teams on Virtual Production best practices and recommend solutions when workflows deviate from approved plans.
- Ensure smooth execution of VP shoots and successful handover of deliverables for post-production.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Project Management, Producing, or Production Management within film, television, commercials, or media productions.
- Experience managing narrative film projects is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of production workflows and project coordination.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple teams and manage several projects concurrently.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Experience in Virtual Production, VFX, animation, game engine workflows, or technology-driven production environments is an advantage.
- Willingness and ability to travel overseas for production work, including assignments in Iskandar Malaysia and other regional locations.
