Medical Laboratory Technologist, Microbiology

KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) is an 830-bed tertiary-level care hospital that provides obstetrics, gynaecology,neonatology and paediatric healthcare services. It is part of the SingHealth public healthcare cluster and is an academic medical centre. KKH is a major teaching hospital for Duke-NUS Medical School, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

You will be part of the Microbiology team, providing scientific and technical input to the operation, management and development of tests in the Microbiology Laboratory in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medical, KKH.

You will be performing standard diagnostic tests in Microbiology Laboratory for infectious agents involving microscopy, bacterial culture, susceptibility testing and various identification techniques including molecular work as assigned. You will also be assisting in protocol development and quality assurance and document management as required. Training will be provided.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Biological or Biomedical Sciences or Microbiology or Biotechnology
• Relevant experience in Diagnostic or Molecular Microbiology will be an advantage
• Good communication skills (both written and oral)
