About the role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Executive to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the timely delivery of construction materials, equipment, and services while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance with company policies. The role requires close collaboration with project managers, site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to support the successful execution of construction projects.
Key responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain the best value in terms of price, quality, and delivery.
Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers and prepare cost comparison reports.
Coordinate with project managers and site personnel to ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels and plan purchases to prevent shortages or excess stock.
Track purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, quality concerns, or discrepancies with suppliers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and contract documentation.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, and relevant regulations.
About you
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry.
Good knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and procurement processes.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and tools, particularly Excel.
Experience with ERP or procurement software is an advantage.
Familiarity with local suppliers and the construction market is preferred.
A team player with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
