TCM Physician
About this job
The TCM Physician is responsible for providing professional Traditional Chinese Medicine consultations, diagnosis, and treatments incompliance with regulatory guidelines and practicing standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in our group’s western medical clinics across Singapore. Our team of TCM physicians is integral to the successful delivery of our TCM services, in collaboration with our in-house family physicians and other healthcare professionals, to provide holistic treatment in compliance with regulatory guidelines and high level of patient care and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide TCM services at assigned clinics and/or other healthcare set-ups, including
a. patient consultation, patient assessment, and diagnose health
conditions
b. develops appropriate treatment plans, including herbal
medicine prescriptions and acupuncture.
c. educate patients on TCM practices in collaboration with in-
house family physicians.
d. attend to patients ’enquiries about treatments and other TCM-
related queries.
- Ensure accurate and proper documentation of treatment services and medicine assigned to patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care and treatment.
- Ensure a high standard of patient care in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Adhere to the TCM Physician’s Code of Conduct and comply with relevant regulatory requirements
- Maintain professional competence with commitment to continuous education and keeping up to date with advancements in TCM practices and related healthcare trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) or equivalent qualification from recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the Singapore Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) and holds a valid practicing certificate issued by the Board.
- Possess strong knowledge and expertise in Traditional Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, and other TCM modalities.
- Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose health conditions, and create effectiveTCM-based treatment plans.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills to ensure accurate and confidential patient records.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin in order to communicate with English and Mandarin speaking patients and business partners.
- Experience working in TCM clinic or healthcare setting is an advantage.
- Ability to work on weekends.
