About the Role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance and daily operation of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) within GAIN CITY warehouse. This role ensures the system operates efficiently by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and assisting in system repairs. The role may also require working at height during inspection or maintenance of ASRS equipment and racking systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting for ASRS equipment such as cranes, conveyors, sensors, motors, and control systems.
Support the daily operation and monitoring of the ASRS system to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Identify and rectify mechanical or electrical faults to minimize system downtime.
Conduct regular inspections of ASRS equipment and racking structures to ensure operational safety.
Assist in repair or replacement of damaged components including sensors, motors, belts, and rollers.
Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and fault reports.
Work closely with ASRS Engineers and Warehouse Operations Teams to resolve system issues.
Coordinate with external vendors or contractors when required for system servicing.
Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations and company safety policies.
Perform maintenance and inspection work at height when required, using proper safety equipment and following approved Work at Height (WAH) procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related technical field.
2–5 years of experience in warehouse automation systems, ASRS, conveyors, or automated material handling equipment.
Basic knowledge of mechanical repair, electrical systems, and automation components.
Familiarity with sensors, and motor controls will be an advantage.
Comfortable working in a warehouse automation environment.
Able to perform manual tasks and maintenance work at height when required.
Willing to support shift work, standby duties, or overtime when necessary.
Forklift license/ Scissor Lift / Boom Lift, Work at Height certification will be an advantage
