Assistant Site Manager

Job description

• Coordinate between on-site operations and project management to ensure efficient project execution.
• Track the master construction programme, develop catch-up schedules, and manage site progress to avoid delays.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure optimal use of manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Liaise with technical teams and consultants to resolve design and construction issues ahead of site execution.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitor project costs against forecasts.
• Review and enforce method statements, risk assessments, and work procedures in line with safety and quality requirements.
• Prepare progress updates, reports, and site documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct regular coordination meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Identify operational risks and inefficiencies and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of building codes
• Knowledge of the laws and ordinances regulating building construction
• Possess skill in reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Possess skills in accurate measurement, preparation on tender, calculation, pricing and quotation
• Understand the relevant standard forms of Building
• Possess good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
