Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, including a 1-hour lunch break
Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, including a 1-hour lunch break
No service required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
Job Description
The Student Management Officer will work closely with the school’s student management team, teachers and counsellors to investigate student misconduct cases and provide structured rehabilitation support. The officer will contribute towards maintaining a safe, positive and inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Student Misconduct Investigations
Conduct structured interviews with students, victims and witnesses.
Gather and verify information relating to student misconduct cases.
Document findings accurately, objectively and confidentially.
Prepare clear investigation reports for the discipline committee.
Review CCTV footage, written statements and other relevant evidence.
Ensure investigations are fair, unbiased and trauma-informed.
Liaise with external agencies such as SPF, MSF and Child Protective Services when required.
Maintain strict confidentiality of student records and case information.
Student Rehabilitation and Support
Conduct regular one-to-one check-in sessions with students.
Monitor students’ progress and provide appropriate guidance.
Engage parents and guardians through updates and joint meetings.
Maintain accurate rehabilitation records and progress reports.
Coordinate support with teachers, counsellors and relevant stakeholders.
Preventive and Discipline Support
Conduct regular walkabouts around the school.
Deter and detect activities such as vaping and smoking.
Promote compliance with school rules and positive student behaviour.
Respond professionally to student incidents, emergencies and safety concerns.
Administration and Coordination
Maintain proper documentation of cases, rehabilitation plans and student interactions.
Prepare case updates and progress reports for the school.
Coordinate with community partners, family service centres and external agencies.
Attend relevant training, workshops and professional development sessions.
Requirements
Diploma from a local polytechnic or an equivalent qualification, preferably in a related field.
At least 2 years of professional experience working with youths in a school, social service, law enforcement, community or related setting.
At least 2 years of experience in investigations or case management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to engage effectively with students, parents and school staff.
Able to manage conflicts, emergencies and sensitive student incidents.
Good report-writing, statement-taking and documentation skills.
Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
