Senior iOS Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior iOS Engineer with at least 6 years of professional experience to join our in-house product engineering team. You’ll play a key role in building, scaling, and evolving our iOS product, working closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver high-quality experiences to our customers.

We’re specifically looking for someone with strong in-house product company experience who understands the full product development lifecycle and is comfortable taking ownership beyond simply implementing requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Own the end-to-end development of iOS features, from technical design through implementation, testing, release, and iteration.
• Build scalable, reliable, and high-performance iOS applications using Swift, UIKit, and modern Apple frameworks.
• Develop and maintain complex user interfaces using UIKit, Auto Layout, ViewControllers, navigation patterns, and reusable UI components.
• Partner closely with Product and Design to translate customer needs and product requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Make and influence architectural and technical decisions across the iOS codebase.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code with a strong focus on quality, performance, and user experience.
• Review code and provide thoughtful technical feedback to maintain high engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve application stability, performance, and reliability.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, architecture, development processes, and technical documentation.
• Mentor and support other engineers through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.
• Take ownership of technical initiatives and drive them from idea to production.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional iOS engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Swift and UIKit.
• Prior experience working in an in-house product company is required; candidates whose experience is primarily in software agencies, consulting, or project-based environments may not be suitable.
• Proven track record of building, launching, and scaling production iOS applications.
• Strong understanding of UIKit, Auto Layout, ViewControllers, navigation, animations, and reusable UI components.
• Strong understanding of iOS architecture, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
• Experience with SwiftUI and modern Apple frameworks is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, concurrency, networking, memory management, and performance optimization.
• Experience working with REST APIs and third-party SDKs.
• Experience writing unit and UI tests for production applications.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern software development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• A strong product mindset, with the ability to understand business and customer needs and translate them into technical decisions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Swift Concurrency (async/await, actors) and Combine.
• Strong experience with SwiftUI alongside UIKit.
• Experience working on large-scale or highly trafficked mobile products.
• Experience with feature flags, A/B testing, analytics, and mobile observability.
• Experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineers.
• Experience working closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and other cross-functional teams.
