Description
We are partnering with a leading global energy company seeking a Trade Accounting Executive to support its physical trading activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trade finance or settlement professional to join an established multinational organisation and work closely with commercial, operations, finance and banking stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage receivables, payables and settlements for physical trading transactions.
• Handle Letters of Credit, payment processing and trade documentation.
• Review contracts and coordinate shipment and payment details with operations.
• Maintain accurate trade data for month-end closing.
• Support cash flow planning through receivables and payables reporting.

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a degree in Accounting or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of experience in trade finance, trade settlement or commodity accounting. Prior experience within a physical commodities trading company is essential. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of trade finance instruments, including Letters of Credit and bank guarantees, together with a good understanding of physical trade flows and shipping documentation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organised and comfortable managing multiple transactions and deadlines within a fast-paced trading environment.
