Technician

Job Summary

Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical and electrical building facilities. Supervise contractors, respond to residents’ maintenance requests, and support estate upkeep to ensure safe and functional property management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic inspections and maintenance tasks on mechanical and electrical building systems including air conditioning, electrical wiring, and plumbing to ensure operational safety and compliance
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance and servicing works performed by contractors and sub-contractors such as landscaping, pest control, and cleaning to maintain property standards
• Respond promptly to residents’ feedback by performing handyman and breakdown maintenance on electrical, sanitary, plumbing, painting, and building repair issues to maintain resident satisfaction
• Assist the direct supervisor with additional duties related to building estate management as assigned to support smooth operations
• Work a 5.5-day week with alternate Saturdays off after confirmation

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in facilities or property management and maintenance
• Higher NITEC or NITEC certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering with at least 2 years of experience in building or facilities servicing and maintenance
• Technical certificates equivalent to NITEC in Mechanical & Electrical, Building Services, Facilities Technology, or ACMV
• Knowledge of building, mechanical, and electrical systems to support maintenance activities
• Ability to interact effectively with residents and team members to foster cooperation and teamwork
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proactive and self-driven work approach
