Primary Objective of Position
Work to achieve AWWA school vision of empowering students to thrive in the community
Job Responsibilities
Curriculum and Instructional Excellence
Lead in the development of the vision, goals, plans and implementation of PE curriculum & CCA programmes
Customise curriculum, pedagogy and assessment methods to enhance students’ learning experiences
Lead the implementation of a framework for monitoring and evaluating instructional programmes, classroom practices and student progress
Mentorship and People Development
Provide mentorship and training to teaching staff to encourage performance improvement, reflective practice and facilitate skill development
Facilitate school professional learning teams and network learning communities in the SPED sector
Projects, Pogrammes and Initiatives
Lead cross-functional teams to plan and implement school or AWWA-wide programmes
Establish and develop partnerships with stakeholders (e.g. families, community or mainstream partners, allied professionals) to achieve desired outcomes
Organisational Management and Development
Foster a culture of integrity, professionalism, collaboration and innovation
Lead the formulation, implementation and evaluation of work plans and initiatives related to ensure alignment with the school’s vision and priorities
Plan and manage allocated budget and resources
Other Expectations
Participate in AWWA-wide programmes and initiatives
Undertake any other relevant duties as and when assigned by the Principal, AWWA CEO or School Management Committee
Job Specifications
Minimum Education / Qualifications
Bachelor Degree (preferably in Special Education)
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
At least 5 years of relevant working experience with at least 2 years in a Senior Teacher position
Experience working with persons with disabilities is an added advantage
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
Be an exemplary and holistic social leader who is insightful and courageous
Lead the organisation and its members through effective management and leadership practices aligned with MISSION Framework and Serving Leadership Principles
