Event Sales Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and resourceful Event SalesManager to grow our catering and events portfolio. You will lead businessdevelopment efforts, build strong client relationships and manage eachopportunity from the first enquiry through to successful event delivery. Thisrole is ideal for someone commercially minded, confident with clients andcomfortable working in a fast-paced events environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build a strong client basethrough networking, referrals, tenders, online research, social media andindustry partnerships.
• Identify and develop businessopportunities across corporate accounts, government agencies, institutions,venues and event partners.
• Plan and participate in relevantF&B trade shows, exhibitions and networking events to generate leads,establish partnerships and create new revenue streams.
• Monitor market trends, competitoractivities and customer needs to develop new catering packages, sales channelsand business opportunities.
• Develop business developmentplans and provide regular sales updates, pipeline reports and revenue forecaststo management.
• Achieve assigned sales, revenue,account-growth and business-development targets.
• Build strategic partnerships withevent planners, venues, suppliers and industry contacts to generate referralsand recurring business.
• Attend site visits, tenderbriefings and pre-event meetings to understand clients’ requirements, budgets,guest profiles and service expectations.
• Prepare clear and accuratequotations, proposals and tender submissions, and follow up actively to securebookings.
• Maintain strong clientrelationships to encourage repeat business, referrals and account growth.
• Serve as the main point ofcontact for clients before, during and after each event.
• Gather client feedback and ensurea high level of customer satisfaction.
• Handle client requests, changesand complaints calmly, promptly and professionally.
• Attend and oversee major orhigh-profile events to ensure smooth execution.
• Assist in training and guidingservice and operations teams when required.
• Perform other duties related to catering sales, business development and event operations.

Job Requirements

• Relevant experience in catering,events, hospitality, F&B or food production is an advantage.
• Strong sales, communication,negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Commercially driven with theability to identify opportunities and close sales.
• Quick-thinking with strongproblem-solving abilities.
• Able to perform effectively in afast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Adaptable, hardworking andteam-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
• Willing to work on weekends andpublic holidays when required for events.
• Possession of a valid Class 3driving licence is an advantage.
