FGE NexantECA

Who WeAre

FGE NexantECA isa global energy and chemicals intelligence business, helping energycompanies, traders, investors, and governments make better decisions in some ofthe world's most complex and fast-moving markets.

We combinedeep market expertise with rigorous data-driven analysis across oil, gas, LNG, chemicals, and the energy transition. Our clients range from majorproducers and utilities to trading houses and sovereign funds - andthey rely on us to cut through noise and give them a clear viewof what's happening and what comes next.

We're alsoin the middle of something genuinely exciting. We're launching Lumen,a next-generation intelligence platform that moves us beyond static researchtowards something faster, more connected, and more directly usable byclients. It's a good moment to join - and this role is partof that story.

TheRole

We areexpanding our team in Singapore, and we want you to be part of our growthjourney. This is an analyst role focused on one of the most consequentialdemand centres in the world – Asia!

You'll developdeep expertise in Asian refined product markets — covering refineryoperations, product supply and demand balances, trade flows, pricing, andregional market structure. You'll work closely with specialists across thecompany, gaining a genuine understanding of how markets work and howfundamentals drive price action. Over time, you should become more comfortablein forming your own views of the market and contribute more directly to teamdiscussions and client conversations.

This is nota role for someone who wants to process data in the background. We want someonewho is curious about markets, comfortable getting into the detail, andmotivated to turn analysis into insight that actually gets used.

What You'llDo

MarketAnalysis & Modelling

· Collect, clean, and analyse refined product data across the severalAsian countries — supply, demand, trade, and pricing

· Assess product trade flows and arbitrage dynamics to explainfundamental shifts on a regional level

· Analyse pricing structures, including regional benchmarks, netbacks, and linkages to crude and global product markets

· Develop short- and long-term product market forecasts

MarketIntelligence & Research

· Monitor policy, subsidy, specification, and regulatorydevelopments affecting Asian product markets

· Translate data and market developments into clear, forward-lookinginsight grounded in real market behaviour

· Prepare client-facing presentations, charts, and writtenanalysis

· Contribute to client deliverables including briefings, reports, and workshops

· Support senior analysts and consultants on cross-barrel andcross-regional research and projects

Data &Tools

· Work with large, often imperfect datasets and bring structure andclarity to ambiguous situations

· Contribute to how analysis is integrated into Lumen as theplatform evolves

· Use AI and data tools where relevant to accelerate research andimprove how insight is communicated

What We'reLooking For

We're opento candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience, as well as stronggraduates. You might come from energy, engineering, economics, chemistry, mathematics, finance, or a related field.

Priordownstream or oil market experience isnot required. We're genuinely happy to train the right personfrom the ground up — what matters more is that you bring strong analyticalfoundations, intellectual curiosity, and a real interest in how markets work.If you're the kind of person who reads about refinery margins forfun, this role is for you.

We're particularlyinterested in people who:

· Are genuinely curious about refined product markets, tradeeconomics, and regional market structure

· Are highly numerate and comfortable working with large, complexdatasets that don’t have clean answers

· Think critically about market balances, pricing, refinerybehaviour, and trade dynamics

· Communicate clearly — in writing, in charts, and inconversation

· Are comfortable managing multiple tasks in a deadline-drivenenvironment

· Are eager to learn, develop, and take on increasing ownership overtime

· Have started exploring how AI and modern data tools can supportanalytical work — or are keen to

Technically, advancedExcel with strong modelling aptitude is essential. Python or SQL is ameaningful plus. We're also interested in candidates who are activelyexploring how AI and LLM tools can accelerate research, structure insight, andimprove how analysis gets communicated — this is becoming a genuine part of howwe work. Fluency in English is required; Knowledge of other Asianlanguages is a plus.
