Accountant/ Inventory Analysis, Reporting
About this job
Handle monthly and quarterly closing activities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Prepare financial reports, SAP segmental reports and relevant accounting schedules.
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
Prepare and review inventory reports, reconciliations and forecast inventory balances.
Monitor inventory provisions, stock write-offs, disposals, expired and slow-moving inventories.
Coordinate year-end stock counts and reconcile inventory balances with auditors.
Prepare related-party, audit and tax schedules and assist with Notes to the Financial Statements.
Support external audits and provide relevant schedules and supporting documentation.
Handle withholding tax filings and reconciliation of withholding tax balances.
Review bank reconciliations, employee claims and GST submissions.
Prepare loan schedules and interest calculations.
Support tax reporting, tax queries and other statutory compliance requirements.
Support annual financial closing, tax filings and regulatory matters for an overseas branch.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls and J-SOX requirements.
Prepare relevant government and regulatory submissions.
Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures and SOPs.
Participate in SAP S/4HANA UAT and other finance-related projects.
Support process improvement and finance system enhancement initiatives.
Perform other ad-hoc finance duties as assigned.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
At least 3–5 years of relevant financial accounting experience.
Good hands-on experience in month-end closing, financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliation.
Experience in inventory accounting, reconciliation and inventory provisions will be highly advantageous.
Good knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.
Experience supporting external audits, GST, tax and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel; SAP S/4HANA exposure will be advantageous.
J-SOX or internal control experience will be an added advantage.
