Social Worker (Outreach - YouthGo!)

Fei Yue Community Services is one of the social service agencies appointed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) to run the Youth GO! Programme. Youth GO! Programme is modelled after well-established youth outreach services overseas, and has been developed into an outreach, engagement and intervention programme that supports youths who hang out on the streets, neighbourhoods and local community areas. Youth GO! Programme supports youths, aged 12 to 21 to be meaningfully engaged in studies or work, stay crime-free, develop problem-solving skills, and be resilient individuals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular day and night street outreach, community walks and activities to engage street youths
• Provide counselling and case management for street youths and their families
• Design, implement and evaluate outreach activities and intervention programmes for street youths
• Plan, conduct and manage case conferences with community partners
• Document and maintain records of all outreach activities and casework sessions.
• Conduct talks and workshops in schools
• Adhere to professional ethics, organisational policies, and boundaries.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Possess minimum Degree in Social Work
• Must have passion to work with youths and their families
• To be physically and medically fit due to regular day and night street outreach and street engagements
• Strong interpersonal skillls
• Strong team player with excellent organisational skills
• Relevant experience in working with youths preferred
• Flexible in your working hours, according to the needs of the programmes and youths and their families
• Job position is on contractual basis
