PM/PMO (Banking industry)

COMPANY OVERVIEW
Our client is a leading IT consulting company in Japan, supporting clients’ transformation of management, business, and IT.

We are looking for a PM/PMO, overseeing project governance, progress tracking, task management, change requests, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordination to ensure successful project delivery.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Collaborate with project stakeholders, including Business Analysts (BA), branch users, external vendors, and internal teams to gather information, clarify business requirements, analyze regulatory implications, and coordinate project-related activities.

· Monitor and manage project timelines, action items, change requests, risks, and issues, ensuring effective governance throughout the project lifecycle.

· Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and key project documentation for team leaders and senior management.

· Proactively identify and address project challenges by working closely with relevant stakeholders to resolve outstanding issues and maintain project momentum.

· Facilitate communication and coordination among business users, IT teams, vendors, and headquarters to support smooth project execution and delivery.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline preferred.

· Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or a related industry.

· At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing and driving system implementation projects as a PM or PMO within the banking domain.

· Strong documentation skills with proven experience in preparing and maintaining project management artifacts, including issue logs, risk registers, task trackers, project status reports, timelines, and meeting minutes.

· Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with business users, IT teams, external vendors, and headquarters teams to drive project success.

· Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
