Dry Bulk Operations Manager

Position Overview: As the Dry Bulk Operations Manager, you will manage our end-to-end dry bulk shipping operations and lead the operations team. This role is central to driving the efficiency, safety, and profitability of our fleet. You will champion operational excellence, guide your team, and collaborate closely with port authorities, shipowners, and charterers to ensure flawless execution of all maritime activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the dry bulk fleet, ensuring compliance with company standards and international regulations.

• Coordinate with port authorities, agents, and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth loading and discharging operations.

• Monitor vessel performance and ensure optimal utilization of the fleet.

• Handle voyage planning and execution.

• Prepare and manage operational budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost-saving measures.

• Ensure all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted accurately and on time.

• Address and resolve any operational issues or disputes promptly.

• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and service providers.

• Provide leadership and guidance to the operations team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping Management, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in dry bulk operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

• In-depth knowledge of dry bulk shipping operations, including chartering, vessel operations, and port logistics.

• Strong understanding of international maritime regulations and compliance requirements.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Fluent in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese-speaking internal and external personnel.
