Senior Payroll Specialist (5 days / Construction) [EL]

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full spectrum of payroll administration for both staff and site-based workers.
• Validate payroll inputs, including attendance records, overtime, shift allowances, claims, deductions, and adjustments.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in accordance with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Prepare payroll journals, reports, payslips, and reconciliation schedules.
• Manage CPF contributions, IRAS reporting, government submissions, and other payroll-related compliance matters.
• Maintain payroll databases and employee records, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
• Address payroll enquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
• Liaise with HR, Finance, project teams, and external agencies on payroll-related matters.
• Support payroll audits, compliance reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
• Keep abreast of changes in payroll legislation and recommend updates to payroll practices where necessary.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on payroll experience, ideally in construction, manufacturing, engineering, or labour-intensive industries.
• Good understanding of Singapore payroll legislation, including CPF, IRAS, MOM, and Employment Act requirements.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with HRiQ or other payroll systems preferred.
