Investment Consultant (Private Banking)

Our client, a well-established bank is seeking an experienced Investment Consultant to provide investment advisory and portfolio solutions to their private banking/HNW clients. The role will work closely with Relationship Managers and investment specialists to understand clients’ investment objectives, formulate suitable strategies and identify investment opportunities across multiple asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide investment advisory and portfolio recommendations aligned with clients’ investment objectives, risk profiles and financial goals.
• Partner closely with Relationship Managers to support investment discussions and deepen client relationships.
• Develop and present tailored investment proposals and portfolio strategies across asset classes.
• Advise on equities, fixed income, funds, structured products and other investment solutions.
• Monitor market developments, economic trends and investment opportunities to identify relevant ideas for clients.
• Conduct portfolio reviews and provide recommendations on asset allocation, diversification and portfolio positioning.
• Translate market and investment views into clear, actionable recommendations for clients.
• Collaborate with product specialists, research teams and investment managers to develop investment solutions.
• Support client meetings, investment briefings, market updates and portfolio reviews.
• Prepare investment reports, presentations and client-facing materials.
• Ensure all investment recommendations and client activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Contribute to the development of the bank’s investment advisory proposition and client engagement strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in investment advisory, wealth management, private banking, asset management or investment consulting.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and multiple asset classes.
• Demonstrated experience providing investment advice or portfolio solutions to HNW/UHNW clients.
• Strong knowledge of equities, fixed income, funds and structured investment products.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts clearly.
• Strong commercial and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with Relationship Managers and investment/product specialists.
• Relevant regulatory certifications and licensing requirements will be required depending on the scope of the role.
