Calling Singapore Transcribers cum Translators

Job Summary

Transcribe and translate audio, video, and documents between Mandarin (including local dialects), Malay, Tamil, and English, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Review work by peers to maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio or video recordings from Mandarin (including local dialects such as Hokkien, Cantonese, Teowchow, Hainanese), Malay, or Tamil directly into Chinese, Malay, or Tamil text accurately and efficiently;
• Translate documents from Mandarin (including local dialects), Malay, or Tamil into English while preserving true and correct meaning and context;
• Review and verify transcription and translation work completed by other transcribers or translators to ensure quality and consistency;
• Deliver high-quality transcription, translation, and proofreading work within specified deadlines; and
• Use MS-Office applications to type and format transcriptions and translations quickly and accurately.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in transcription or translation is preferred but not mandatory;
• Ability to type quickly and proficiently on MS-Office applications;
• JC graduates (A level) awaiting university admission results and current university students are welcome to apply.

• Must reside in Singapore;
• Full-time and/or part-time positions available;
