General Description
Responsible for coordinating and managing customer tender activities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions while aligning tender opportunities with the company’s commercial and strategic objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Work closely with global and regional account management teams to coordinate and support the preparation and submission of tenders for global and strategic customers.
- Review and analyse tender requirements and specifications, working closely with country teams, particularly across the APAC region, to ensure accurate and timely responses.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including local offices, regional teams and central procurement functions, to develop high-quality and commercially competitive tender proposals.
- Develop and maintain tender project plans covering pricing analysis, internal reviews, approvals and submission timelines in accordance with the company's tender management process.
- Maintain accurate records of tender activities, opportunities, submissions and outcomes in internal reporting tools and tender document management systems.
- Participate in cross-regional stakeholder meetings and provide tender management insights, analysis and recommendations to support business objectives.
- Identify and troubleshoot tender-related issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions to improve the overall tender management process.
- Support process improvement initiatives and participate in relevant projects and assignments as required.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
- Strong numerical and analytical aptitude with good attention to detail.
- Fast thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with an appreciation of cultural diversity.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline is preferred.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain or a related industry.
- Experience in tender, bid, quotation, pricing or commercial coordination would be an advantage.
