About this job
- Develop and maintain automation software for machine control, robot control, and vision inspection systems.
- Design, test, integrate, and commission full-line automation systems from concept through on-site deployment.
- Support control circuit design, machine setup, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
- Manage assigned automation projects or project modules to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Participate in installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving equipment, processes, software, materials, and system integration.
- Provide field technical support and collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate project progress, technical issues, risks, and required actions in a timely and professional manner.
- Support continuous improvement of automation systems and processes.
- Experience in developing vision algorithms for automated inspection will be an added advantage.
Requirements
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in machine control software design and development.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, with experience in platforms such as Allen-Bradley (AB), Omron, and Beckhoff.
- Proficiency in Visual C# and/or C++ programming.
- Knowledge of Beckhoff TwinCAT programming will be an advantage.
- Knowledge or experience in C#, computer vision, image processing, or SECS/GEM will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge and relevant experience in the design, commissioning, and troubleshooting of servo and motion control systems.
- Willingness to travel overseas when required for project-related activities.
