Job Description
We are seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to overseethe planning, coordination and execution of mechanical and electricalconstruction projects.
The successful candidate will lead project teams, manage schedules andbudgets, coordinate with project stakeholders, and ensure projects arecompleted in accordance with quality, safety and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project plans covering schedules, budgets, manpower and resource requirements.
- Lead and manage M&E projects from commencement through completion and handover.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
- Manage and guide engineers, supervisors and technical personnel.
- Assign project responsibilities, monitor progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Review technical drawings, designs and project specifications.
- Oversee testing, commissioning and handover of M&E systems.
- Identify and resolve technical and project-related issues.
- Monitor project costs and implement appropriate cost-control measures.
- Review project expenditures, progress claims and variation works.
- Prepare and provide project and financial progress updates.
- Ensure project activities comply with applicable safety requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct project risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders and address project concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E project management experience.
- Experience managing large-scale construction projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and project delivery.
- Good leadership, planning and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Proficient in relevant project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of applicable M&E standards, regulations and safety requirements.
- PMP or equivalent project-management certification is advantageous.
